I sure as hell had never heard of it. After all, there are so many meaningless ways to categorize art, I wouldn't be surprised if they made a dictionary solely for these genres that was larger than an unabridged dictionary. In any case, as you can imagine, this "nonsense" definitely showed through in their art. It was like abstract art that tried to convey an actual message to the public. A doubly futile and idiotic effort if I do say so myself. Speaking of which, the root word dada comes from France, and it translates to "of baby-talk origin." Talk about meaningless.
Art really has been watered down to shit these days, hasn't it? I infer at one point in time it actually took
talent to be a man of the arts. Now all you have to do is take a photo of something, develop it in black and white, and there you have it. You are an artist. It doesn't even matter what you take a picture of. As long as you can pretend it has a meaning to yourself, it is art. So I gave it a try. I want to be an artist too! I immediately turned to Dadaism, or Dada as it's also called, and here is my finished piece:
Behold!
Enjoy! Remember, anyone can be an artist. You don't even have to put your mind to it.

Wow man, that was some incredible artwork... you should enter it into a contest[/sarcasm]
Good article, though. You seem to handle yourself well with dry, political humor. |
