  • When did this all start?
    The predecessor to Kobra's Corner-- a simple script that just read a text file from a database-- was coded on June 28, 2005. After about 3 months of use, my web host experienced a full-blown datacenter disaster and everything (approx. 30 pages of short, two-sentence posts and crappy MS Paint images) was lost. I began rebuilding Kobra's Corner on November 3, 2005-- and that's when I posted my first article.
  • Are you trying to emulate/rip off Maddox?
    No.
  • ... I'm still not convinced.
    Who gives a fuck what you think? Maddox does his thing, I do my thing. I don't dislike the guy, but I'm not of his fanboy worshipers, either. If I sound like him, what does it matter? There are billions of people in the world-- there are bound to be many people with similar writing voices. I'm not going to make a conscious effort to change myself just because someone else does something similar. If I'm ripping Maddox off, then he is ripping off George Carlin (who is in turn ripping off Jonathan Swift).

    On another note, I talk about religion a lot while Maddox avoids the subject entirely.

  • What's the most prevalent criticism of Kobra's Corner (sans "Maddox ripoff")?
    If I ever receive any criticism other than the unfounded accusation of being a "Maddox ripoff," I will update this question. Nevermind; a 13 year-old called one of my pages "boring."
  • You should write a book.
    Anyone who tells me this is trying to bullshit me into embarrassing myself in front of the literary world.
  • You should sell T-Shirts.
    Why? So I can have pretentious assholes walking around wearing my opinions like the latest fad? To hell with that!
  • Your website/blog/whatever-term-the-fucking-media-is-using-this-week sucks.
    Yeah, tell me about it.
  • Why don't you make X changes?
    Because I don't care. Sure, I could make my website all SEO-optimized and W3C compatible, but I still get the same meager audience whether I do or don't. Quite frankly, if someone has enough time to run every page they visit through a W3C compliance scanner, I don't want them on my website to begin with. Case and point.
  • Are you interested in an upcoming "Bloggers Unite" event?
    No; for two reasons:
    1. I hate the word "blog."
    2. I don't let anyone else dictate what I write about.
  • What does that "Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0" thing at the bottom of every page mean?
    Everything I publish on this website is published under Creative Commons-- a license that spans the gray area between a full copyright and public domain. I'm not an asshole, so I use "Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0" for my work.
  • So what does that mean for me?
    It means if you want to use one of the pictures/articles on your website, blog, or whatever, you can do so. Just be sure to provide a visible link to my website. Note that this "default freedom" doesn't apply if you're making money off the article. If you have ads on your page or some other way of making money off of the article, you should email me first.
  • I just read your Contact page. Do you hate receiving emails?
    Not at all, assuming you're not an idiot.
  • You made fun of (insert famous member of (race) here). Are you racist?
    Normally I just say, "Race is a shitty reason for discrimination; I hate EVERYONE," but if you have to ask then you obviously can't take a joke to begin with.
  • Anything else we should know?
    Emails sent to me that aren't registered as hatemail will not be treated as such; go ahead and send me those stupid questions that you've been itching to ask.
