Ironically, I began to get inundated with requests to sell ad-space on my website shortly after posting a page titled I Hate Blogs that Make Money by Talking About Making Money.

While I don't consider Kobra's Corner to be a blog (I hate that word, and it's a personal website; no more, no less), the irony gave way to annoyance. As a result of the continued "adspace request" spam, I have put together this page on my FAQ specifically for you marketing losers.

  • Do you make money off this website?
    No.
  • Do you ever intend to make money off this website?
    No.
  • Are you interested in putting a text ad on any of your pages?
    No.
  • Do you accept donations?
    No.
  • Are you interested in Pay-Per-Post and/or paid product endorsements?
    No. This website is about my opinions; they can't be bought.
  • Will you ever sell your website, domain name, etc.?
    No. More importantly: who the hell would buy it?
  • Why are you so adamant against earning "a little on the side?"
    I won't say, "Money can't buy happiness," because it sure can placate happiness with an inflated ego. I will say, however, that MONEY CAN'T BUY INTEGRITY!

    Why should I make money for voicing my opinion? That's bullshit. Everyone has an opinion and nobody pays YOU to have one; why should I be any different?

    Furthermore, if I started taking money for my posts, it wouldn't be long before my website turned from "angry young man who points out everything wrong with the world" to "spoiled brat who gets paid to promote products he never uses or even likes." As it stands right now, I don't know what possesses people to read my website, so why would I pull a bullshit maneuver like that?
